One roof. Three disciplines. One ethic.
Refine operates as one practice with three distinct disciplines, cosmetic medicine, cosmetic tattooing, and a curated skincare apothecary. Each pillar carries its own terminology and pricing logic, but all share the same standard of care and the same conservative philosophy.
Refine Aesthetics was founded in 2021. Everything that has since grown, the Studio, the Apothecary, the education work, grew from patient conversations, not marketing decisions.

From the emergency floor to the quiet room.
Douaa Al Hamad is a registered nurse with 8+ years of clinical experience — most of it in emergency departments across Queensland. Airways, vasculature, split-second judgement. She learned anatomy the way anatomy demands to be learned: under pressure.
Refine is what happened when that training was poured into a slower, more intimate craft. She built the clinic she could not find as a patient — educationally honest, anatomically conservative, and quietly uninterested in the trends. Every consultation begins with anatomy, expectations, and history — never a menu of procedures.

Consultation before commerce.
Every patient relationship begins with a 30-minute conversation, not a needle. We don't publish per-unit prices because anatomy doesn't fit a menu.
Conservative dosing, always.

We under-treat by design. It's easier to add at your two-week review than to walk out with a result you didn't ask for.

Two-week review, built in.
Adjustments at follow-up are free, never assumed. The schedule is part of the practice — not a customer service add-on.

Honesty over upselling.
If a treatment isn't right for you, we'll say so. If a dermatologist is what you need, we'll refer. Trust is a long-term investment.

Consultations are 30 minutes and take place in the treatment room, not a reception. If you're coming from further afield — Brisbane CBD, Logan, Gold Coast — allow around 40 minutes from either direction.
