— 01 / CONSULTATION
Hair loss consultation.
A consultation and assessment for thinning or hair loss — common, especially with age or around menopause. We look at your scalp, take your history, and talk honestly about what might help. Every person responds differently, and results can’t be guaranteed.
— 02 / ABOUT HAIR LOSS
About hair loss consultations.
Hair thinning has many causes — age, hormones, stress, genetics and health. One of the most common is pattern hair loss. The right approach depends entirely on you, and is decided after an assessment. No two plans are the same.
An approach may include in-clinic options and, where appropriate, prescription treatments — which by law can only be considered after a consultation and approval by a prescriber, and can’t be advertised or detailed publicly. The specifics stay in the room with you, not on this page.

- Associated risks, side effects and aftercare considerations
ALSO COVERED
- Suitability, including any contraindications relevant to you
- Time to ask questions before any decision is made
- Timing, follow-up appointments and ongoing care
- Individual outcomes may vary — this is a cosmetic consultation only
— 03 / WHAT TO EXPECT
What to expect during your appointment.
Personalised consultation
Your appointment begins with an assessment of your scalp and a discussion of your history and goals, with information provided ahead of any decision.
Preparation
Where appropriate, the area is prepared in line with clinical practice standards. Specific steps are discussed during your consultation, based on what’s being assessed.
Duration & recovery
Appointment length varies between individuals and is discussed with you. Most people can resume daily activities afterwards; recovery varies, and the practitioner explains what to expect.
Post-appointment care
Aftercare is personalised and discussed with you, so you know what to expect in the days that follow. Follow-up may be scheduled depending on your circumstances.
— 04 / ABOUT HAIR THINNING & LOSS
About hair thinning and loss.
Hair loss is common and has many causes — age, hormones, genetics and health all play a part, and it affects people of all genders. It’s gradual, and how much it bothers you is entirely personal.
Whether, and how, we might help depends on the cause, your circumstances and what’s realistic. Some causes benefit from medical review, discussed during your consultation. This section is general information only.
MANY CAUSES

GRADUAL & INDIVIDUAL

REVIEWED WITH YOU
What suits you is assessed clinically and in person — never from a page.

— 06 / FREQUENTLY ASKED
The questions we get most.
What might a plan involve?
That depends on your assessment — it’s tailored to your history, scalp and goals, and discussed with you before any decision. Some options are discussed privately with a prescriber.
Do I have to decide anything on the day?
No. A consultation is just that. You’ll leave informed and decide in your own time. There’s no pressure either way.
Who will I see?
An experienced clinic nurse, and where relevant a qualified doctor or nurse practitioner. Where a prescription option is relevant, a prescriber is involved before anything proceeds.
No. A consultation is just that. Many people come to understand their options and decide later, or decide it isn’t for them. There’s no pressure either way.
How long until I see results?
Hair growth is gradual — many people notice early changes after around 12 weeks of consistent care, and it often takes 6–12 months for the fuller effect. Responses vary and can’t be guaranteed.
What should I bring?
Your medical history and any medications, plus the specific concerns you’d like to discuss. Questions are welcome.
Can under-18s book?
These consultations aren’t advertised to or aimed at under-18s. Any care for under-18s follows strict national guidelines.
